Product Engineer

Why this role exists

A hospital security lead should be able to put ten dollars down, choose what to test, approve a budget, and see real findings without talking to anyone. That whole path, from the public site through checkout to the dashboard where findings turn into fixes, is the product. It is a small codebase with strict rules, and we need another engineer who can take a feature from contract to screen and own it after it ships.

What you'll be doing

• Build features end to end. Here a feature is three files: its schemas and contract, its server handlers with the queries inline, and its route. No layers in between, so the person who ships it can also debug it.
• Own the pay-as-you-go flow: credits, budget approval before every scan, top-ups, and the billing edge cases that only show up with real customers.
• Build the dashboard where scan results become work: findings, the agent's proposed fix as a reviewable pull request, and the audit trail a compliance team will later ask for.
• Keep the public site fast and honest. We recently rebuilt it around an illustration system; you will extend it rather than reinvent it.
• Write the tests that would have caught the bug, and the schema that makes the bug impossible next time.

The stack is TypeScript throughout, on a modern edge platform. We will tell you the details in the first conversation; they matter less than how you think about correctness.

How we work

We are a small team and everyone ships to production. Every rule in our codebase says how it is enforced, and a change that alters behaviour comes with a test that fails without it. We prefer work a reviewer can verify from types, schemas and tests over work that needs a paragraph to explain. We are remote-first with a few hours of overlap with Tel Aviv. AI agents do a lot of our typing, so we hire for judgment and review, not volume.

What we need from you

• You have shipped product features end to end and supported them afterwards.
• You reach for the type system before the comment. Strict TypeScript should feel like a relief, not a constraint.
• You can work inside a codebase with opinionated rules and argue for changing them in the open when they are wrong.
• You care what the screen looks like, not only whether it works.
